Hartlepool have been boosted ahead of the clash with Oldham Athletic this weekend whe. Goalkeeper Jake Kean extended his loan spell from Blackburn Rovers.

Kean has done well since joining from the Premier League side, he has kept nine clean sheets in 18 appearances.

The 19-year-old will remain at the club until February and will continue in place of the injured Scott Flinders (hand), who returned to light training this week.

Andy Rafferty takes his place on the bench, he will be acting as back up to Kean.
Elsewhere, Andy Monkhouse is suspended after the winger was booked for the fifth time this season.

Billy Greulich (ankle) is still out but Peter Hartley has overcome a dead leg.
