Manager Lee Johnson has said he’ll be looking for the team to put the disappointment following the Preston game behind them, by giving a positive showing in the game tonight against Rotherham United.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game, the gaffer admitted it would be a very tough game for us given the two teams’ relative form at the moment, but he knows we are capable of producing better and that we can channel the disappointment we feel into a good, strong reaction.

‘We’ve got 11 more games to play and we’ve got a group of players who I know can get wins. We start with a tough one against Rotherham, but all games are tough in this division and it’s one we’re looking forward to.’

Johnson says last time we played them he felt we were unfortunate and one mistake we made maybe was in focusing too much on what they were capable of doing, this time round he wants to focus solely on us especially as we are at home and he knows we should be looking to get on the front foot properly and lead the game.

Some positives can be taken from the last encounter though as he says it was one of those that felt worse at the time, but it wasn’t as bad as he thought when he was watching the game back because he wasn’t as lost in the moment, and he credits their keeper for a man of the match performance in the second half, and had that not been the case the result could’ve been much different – but we can’t afford to start the first 45 in the same manner this time round.
