The rumours are over with Oldham officially confirming who is staying and who is leaving Boundary Park this summer.

It’s been confirmed that new contracts have been offered to Connor Brown, Paul Rachubka and Player of the Year James Wesolowski, with the club awaiting answers from them. One-year options have been taken on James Wilson, David Mellor, Genseric Kusunga and Carl Winchester, meaning that all will have at least another season with the club.

With the end of season, and end of contracts, of course comes the news of players being released too.

Jonathan Grounds is already ‘speaking with other potential parties’, so is leaving with Charlie MacDonald, Kirk Millar, Danny Gosset and Terry Dunfield all informed by Lee Johnson that they aren’t in his future plans.

The Oldham boss told the official website: ‘It’s with great sadness that people have to leave the football club but I wish the players every success in the future and thank them for their efforts with Oldham Athletic.’

All being well those offered contracts will sign them, do you agree with those released?
