Latics have announced that Reverend John Simmons will be the clubs new Chaplain. Rev Simmons has been a Latics fan since 1974 and is said to be delighted at the chance of ‘Keeping the faith’ at the club.

Latics were previously one of a few clubs without a Chaplain and the appointment of John will offer the playing and non-playing staff some guidance when they need it.

The Rev’s highlight of the season was Gary McDonald’s goal against Everton, a game which he attended with his son.

In other news, the Rochdale Road End will be open on the final day of the season to home supporters. With the NSM stand being knocked down over summer, many season ticket holders will relocate for next season and may want to gain an opinion about that stand before purchasing tickets. Season tickets are available from the club shop, online and by phone at £308-328 for adults and £50 for kids.
