Oldham boss Paul Dickov watched his side go down 3-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday last night and after the game placed the blame solely on individual errors.

All three goals could have been avoided had the defence been awake, but instead the Owls helped themselves to a much needed three points and Oldham made it eight games without a win.

Latics did fight back from 2-0 down to level the score by half time, but in the second half Chris Sedgwick`s second of the game left Oldham with nothing.

Dickov told the Manchester Evening News: “The goals shouldn`t have happened.

“We had them in Tuesday morning working on their set plays and defending crosses, but they scored from set plays and crosses.

“I can`t accuse them of not having a go but I`ll accuse them of being sloppy and making individual errors.”
