Oldham manager Paul Dickov believes that although a point was snatched from his team deep into injury time, there are still positives to take from the game at the Withdean Stadium.

All was looking well for Latics when Lewis Alessandra finished off a lightning break by Chris Taylor on the half hour mark.

While at the other end, Ashley Taylor was wasting chances before he finally found the target with a powerful header just before half time.

And a point looked to be on the cards for both teams when up popped Sandaza to bundle home the winner in the 96th minute.

Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester: ‘We’re getting a bit more consistent with our performances and getting better all the time but we just have to make sure that the things that we don’t do so good, we work at.

‘I think Brighton will be up there at the end of the season and they’re probably the best team we’ve played.

‘But I think we matched them today for long periods and I think we were worth at least a point, we’re disappointed but lots of positives to take from it.’
