Oldham manager Paul Dickov has turned to his old club Manchester City to appeal for fans to come and watch the Latics when City are away.

The Premier League outfit are away at Wolves this weekend while Oldham take on Plymouth at Boundary Park, Dickov wants fans who cannot get to the Black Country to come and cheer Latics on if they need football.

Season-ticket holders are even being offered half-price tickets.

Dickov told ‘I had a fantastic time at City and had a special bond with the fans during my time at the club.

‘It is difficult for clubs at this level to survive and we would appreciate the support of City fans.

‘I am sure they will be in for a pleasant surprise as we have a young and enthusiastic team and have been playing some good football.’
