Oldham Athletic boss Paul Dickov has signed highly rated goalkeeper Ben Amos from Manchester United on a loan deal that will last until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old comes to Boundary Park to provide competition for regular keeper Dean Brill and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home game against Swindon.

Dickov said: ‘I’m absolutely delighted; Ben’s a top young English keeper and I’d like to thank Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Steele for helping it to happen.

‘Dean has done well for us but we feel that with Ben coming in gives us extra options.’
