Oldham manager Paul Dickov left the Galpharm Stadium disappointed on Saturday having watched his side put in a performance that deserved a draw.

And whereas he accepted that Latics offered very little in front of goal, he dis point out that the home side didn`t offer much more.

ut the game was decided four minutes before full time when substitute Alan Lee struck to send Latics home with nothing.

Dickov said: ‘I’m bitterly disappointed. I thought we were solid all day. I can’t fault the boys, their effort and application, everything I asked them, they’ve done it.

‘We stood up against a very, very good team and I thought we performed really, really well. The one criticism I might have is that we maybe didn’t work the goalkeeper enough.

‘I can’t fault the performance because it’s a tough place to come. Alex Cisak had a couple of saves to make in the first half but other than that and the goal I can’t remember him having a lot to do.

‘I thought we looked more of a threat going forward but I’m just disappointed for them because we really deserved something from the game. I’m delighted with them. On another day, maybe we get a point or nick a goal.’
