James Dayton has said that he’s hoping Oldham can get a bit of pay back when we face Wolves in the FA Cup this weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site the winger admitted he was at fault for one of their goals in the league encounter only a few weeks ago, so not only is he hoping the cub can get the right result this time round and progress in the competition, he has something to make up for himself.

‘If I get the chance, hopefully I will be able to rectify that.’

Dayton goes on to say what a danger Leigh Griffiths is having already scored ten goals so far this season, and with Wolves being unbeaten in nine he knows it will be a tough game again, but lessons will have been learned from our league encounter so hopefully that will stand us in good stead.

For the player it’s the start of a big week of football for the club, Wolves in the FA Cup this weekend, then Notts County in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy midweek before ending it next weekend with a league match against MK Dons.

Obviously given our progress last season in the domestic competition, the player is hoping we can replicate that so he can enjoy the experience others had as well.
