Oldham executive Alan Hardy says that the cold snap could leave the club feeling the pinch, especially if any more games are called off over the Christmas period.

The long term weather forecast does not look good and Latics have a Boxing Day clash with Carlisle and a Jan 3rd home game with Rochdale that are at risk and no money coming in means paying the wage bill would become very difficult.

‘If you take the two games on Boxing Day and against Rochdale, they would normally be the best attended of the season,’ Hardy told the Oldham Chronicle.

‘They are vital in terms of our cash flow.
‘With no revenue coming in it means it is difficult to pay the wage bill and meet the other demands on the club.’
