Lee Johnson has called Jonson Clarke-Harris an uncut diamond and he aims to polish the 6ft 2in striker into the player he believes he can become next season.

Speaking to the Official Site after the capture, the manager said that the player caught his eye when we played Bury last season.

‘In the first half of that match he was excellent. He was big, strong, and scored a great goal which was disallowed. I liked what I saw.’

He adds that Clarke-Harris is definitely worth the risk because of what he’s seen and heard about him, and if he can develop as well as he thinks he can, we could have a potential bargain on our hands.
